The Beer’d Brewing Company opened in 2012 with a three-barrel brewery focused on hop-forward beers. Since then, we have grown to produce approximately 6,000 BBLs per year. We now maintain a large self-distribution model in Connecticut and partner with wholesalers for distribution in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, New Jersey and New York.

The Beer’d Brewing Company has two facilities, one located in Stonington with a 15-barrel brewery and the second located in Groton with a 20-barrel brewhouse. Your primary goal is to support sales in the Massachusetts market and act as a brand ambassador for The Beer’d Brewing Company. This includes direct responsibility for onsite and offsite key account development. You will be responsible for securing new business in existing and new accounts while working closely with The Beer’d Brewing Company sales team and The Craft Collective (wholesaler) to maintain/develop all accounts. In addition, you will oversee the management of all local events within your territory. Above all, the ideal candidate will get customers and retailers excited about our brand and our story while building real relationships.

PRIMARY FUNCTION
? Supports the core values ​​and direction of The Beer’d Brewing Co.
? Overseeing the Massachusetts market and relationship with The Craft Collective Wholesaler.
? Build working relationships with top accounts/buyers, both on-chain and freelance, in the territory.
? Work with Owners and Sales Manager to establish annual goals in each market; track and evaluate success on a monthly basis.
? Work with an existing wholesale price book.
? Serve as the key contact for account/customer questions regarding products, procedures, availability and visitor programs.
? Maintain monthly communication with key account decision makers.
? Create, plan and execute a regular schedule of visits to key accounts.
? Identify, track and relay information regarding opportunities to increase Beer’d volume in existing accounts.
? Assist management in communicating brewery goals, policies and procedures with The Craft Collective.
? Conducts regular market visits with The Beer’d Brewing Co. representatives and/or distributor representatives to build brand awareness and provide support as needed.
? The ability to stick to a strict budget.
? Knowledge and ability to comply with DOL, DOH, OSHA, TTB and DCP regulations.
? Launch creative sales and marketing programs throughout the territory.
? A tenacious personality.
? Solid working knowledge of brewery ERP systems (Ekos, Keg Id, Orchestrated Beer, etc.) and POS systems (Square, Breadcrumb, etc.)
? Coordinate and execute bespoke market events (tastings, beer dinners, promotions and festivals) to drive territory sales and to build and grow our account and customer base.

CONDITIONS
? The ideal candidate will live in Massachusetts and be comfortable working remotely. They will have
access to The Craft Collective facilities as needed.
? Has at least two years of industry experience, a bachelor’s degree or a background in marketing
prefer.
? Passion for craft beer.
? Two years of experience in direct beverage sales (an asset)
? Knowledge of and compliance with legal requirements regarding the sale and delivery of alcohol
beverages
? A deep understanding of buyer mindsets; experience as a buyer is highly desirable.
? Must demonstrate an ability to work independently without direct supervision.
? Must be flexible with schedule, holiday/weekend/overnight hours are required.
? Computer proficiency, including Google Suite (Docs, Sheets) is a must.
? Ability to present professionally around the clock as a direct brand representative of The Beer’d Brewing Co.
? Enthusiasm for craft beer and a commitment to understanding and supporting beer quality.
? Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
? Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Able to communicate with
different levels of our clientele: restaurateurs, accountants, distributors and generalists
Public.
? Must achieve Cicerone Level 1 Beer Server certification within six months of hire. If this is not achieved,
an action plan will be put in place.
? Knowledge of product ordering and inventory control.
? Ability to travel as needed.

TYPE OF JOB/HOURS OF WORK EXPECTED
Hours are flexible and can be set by the Field Sales Representative and Sales Manager as they see fit.
Employees are expected to be available during “main” business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but with the
nature of the work, weekend, holiday and night hours are to be expected.

TRAVEL
This position requires regular travel to client accounts, beer tastings and conferences as needed. A
a company vehicle will be made available to the employee as the primary means of transportation. Occasional
trips outside the territory and overnight stays may be necessary.

warehouses, commercial kitchens, refrigeration areas, backrooms and dining rooms.
